Sound Project
The process and description of how the development of this piece was approached is showed below;
This sound would be used in a scene where there's a teenager that is being driven in a car, then dropped off at the courts for basketball practice, and getting ready to warm up with his team.
Sound project outline:
For the process of this project we started choosing a story and thinking of the sounds that would be heard and used in that setting. We then started brainstorming the primary sounds while adding other secondary sounds that we would like to use to convey the idea of our story. After making some final changes to this and writing some Foley sound ideas, we came out with the final piece before starting recording, the outline.
Several audios where recorded in the app of Voice Memos in an iPhone but others were found in some sound effects database like the YouTube audio library. We then started recording and filming some Foley sounds by using random objects like a chain from a purse to create the sound of the necklace, or using by sliding a shoe on the ground to imitate the sound of the car ride. We finally ended by adding all the sounds to Adobe and then editing them by moving each sound so that ones are after others and even some of top of others to show the mix of sounds at the same time and create the environment where the setting is happening.
